The County of Brant has expanded its communications capabilities with the implementation of the Audience™ digital signage platform. The initial deployment includes displays installed across key municipal recreation venues: the Brant Sports Complex, Burford Sports Complex, Gaukel Memorial Community Centre, and Syl Apps Community Centre.
With screens already procured and BrightSign LS425 media players on order, the County required a robust, flexible, and efficient content management system capable of integrating seamlessly with their existing hardware. Audience™ offered a cost-effective solution that aligned with the preferences of the County’s IT team while simplifying deployment and content control across multiple locations.
Designed to improve visibility and access to recreation information, each display features a custom multi-zone layout. Three locations present a large, single-zone facility schedule as the main visual focus, providing visitors with up-to-date activity listings and rink schedules. The Brant Community Centre required a more specialized approach to support two ice surfaces, resulting in a dual half-height scheduling layout that delivers clear and parallel information for both pads.
In addition to scheduling, every display incorporates a poster-sized zone dedicated to County marketing content and promotional messaging. A banner zone positioned at the bottom of each screen features rotating welcome messages, helping to create a friendly and engaging atmosphere for patrons.
As the network expands, the flexible design of Audience™ allows Brant staff to introduce new content types, enhance automation, and broaden communications without extensive reconfiguration—ensuring the system can evolve along with facility needs.
