Rogers Communications Launches 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Barker Channel with Audience Software.

Rogers Communications Inc. is helping to keep fans connected during the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ with the launch of their new soccer themed barker channel. Launched on June 1st throughout Canada, the multi-zone cable television channel will broadcast a variety of tournament specific info using the Audience software platform provided by Capital Networks Limited.

Leading up to the start of the tournament, the Audience platform will be used for the creation and scheduling of graphic content consisting of team and player profiles, match previews, news updates and scheduling info. Video content and promotional messages advertising a variety of On Demand services including Rogers On Demand , Rogers On Demand Online and Rogers On Demand Mobile will also be displayed.

Once the tournament begins on June 11th, fans will be able to follow real-time tournament updates including stats, scores and standings provided by automated data feeds, and will also be able to interact with the channel by texting comments to a live chat zone.
